I wonder how many of President George Bush staff members agree with everything he has said and done. I wonder how many of them have quit as a result of something he has said or done. Like the catholics who attend mass and participate in all of the religious rituals do not abandon their church even though their church has long faced numerous sex scandals by their leaders. Many believe in freedom of choice as it relates to their bodies (pro choice, sex, homosexuality). A Rabbi who was caught waiting in the home of an under-aged child's home - recently busted on the sexual predator show that is featured on MSNBC did not cause a major uproar or exodus of the Jews denouncing their temple.
Senator Barack Obama should not have to apologize or be held accountable for what the Pastor said in his pulpit - we heard a few seconds of his sermon - what was the gist of his sermon. Could he be speaking about the plight of the people he speaks to and what they face on a daily basis? Of course not - the denial - or better yet - the belief amongst most other people is that there is a great sense of racial equality in America. Regardless of the statistics that prove that 9 out of 10 people who have been stopped and searched by police are of the minority race - means nothing.
It's a great country we live in - GOD BLESS AMERICA & ALL OF US WHO SO PERFECT, LOVINGLY AND PEACEFULLY DWELL IN IT!

Geraldine Ferraro
What an influential woman? I remember watching the presidential race back in 1984 when Walter Mondale announced that he had selected Geraldine Ferraro as his running mate. It was an incredible moment - I saw a woman who could become the Vice President of the United States. It was inspirational - I saw her as a woman - which we both share in common. However, I am a black woman and with her latest comments, I am completely disappointed.
Is it safe to say that many women are voting with Senator Hillary Clinton because she is a woman or is she lucky to be who she is - a white woman who was married to the President of the United States? Might I also suggest that white men will sooner vote for Senator Hillary Clinton than Senator Barack Obama because he is black? How lucky is that?
Senator Barack Obama has a background that shows that he has the qualifications to run for President. Like Geraldine Ferraro and Senator Hillary Clinton, Senator Obama share similarities. The obvious is that they are all Democrats, attorneys, they have all held political offices prior to seeking the presidential office and in some views -- they are minorities. Interestingly, Mrs. Ferraro served as a Congresswoman - an office that does not view you as an experienced qualified candidate to become president.
Although I am disappointed by Mrs. Ferraro's opinions, I accept that they are hers to voice. I guess Senator Obama's accomplishments were all attributed to his color - forever the undertone of those who feel that blacks are not capable of having the ability to achieve successful outcomes without someone having some form of pity/handout/slide by. In my opinion, Mrs Ferraro's words speaks volumes. It is my belief that Senator Obama is indeed a candidate who like the former VP candidate and Senator Clinton has every right to be considered worthy of running to become the President of the United States of America - based on the backgrounds that they have all shared. I think it is great that Senator Obama is receiving such great support - it inspires and gives me hope again.

A message to political wives who stand by their husbands!
Stop it wives!!!!!!!!! Stop standing behind the man who has betrayed you so publicly. You look tired, aged and your smile is fake. Let him stand out there on his own. He obviously did not think thoroughly about you and the entire family when he slept around. What about your friends? Your children's friends, classmates and associates? How humiliating can this be?
Did his advisers suggest that you stand with him at the press conference? What is he telling you? This only happened once? Did he cry? When it was revealed that it happened on several ocassions - does he say - oh I forgot, it happened twice. I do understand that you love him but get your act together - love yourself more.
You fell in love with the ambitious and wonderful man -- who is a great provider and he loves the children. Yes, he very well may be all that - but public humility should be a deal breaker. Let him sweat it out - alone publicly. Take the kids and go on a vacation - you need a mental escape.

Oh how soon do we forget?
The race for the White House is quite intense. It is the most historical race to date. A woman and an African American man. The country is all a buzz. It is quite fascinating - the wins, the losses. The political pundits sharing their expert opinions -- the rhetoric continues.
I am so there - following the comments and flipping between channels to see what Wolf Blitzer has to say then FNC, MSNBC not wanting to miss a minute. I have never ever followed a race like this before. Then I find myself shouting at the experts. The Clinton and McCain supporters who are all speaking about their experiences and how inexperienced Barack Obama is as a potential president.
I mentioned before that I have never followed a race like this before, but somehow I remember when former president Bill Clinton was running against former president George Bush Sr., he was considered inexperienced. Our country was recently engaged in a war - the Gulf War. President Bill Clinton was criticized for not serving his country, not having any experience, for smoking pot, etc.
I am amazed to hear both President Bill and Senator Hillary Clinton consistently announce that Senator Barack Obama lacks experience - an essential role in holding the presidents office. Isn't it funny how the term experience was also used when Senator Clinton ran for the Senate - she had no experience - how could she run such a large and complex city? However, they both won the elections for their targeted office - without the experience - the people believed in them and supported their campaign.
Now here comes Senator Barack Obama, charming the crowds -- I remember watching then Governor Bill Clinton playing the saxaphone on Arsenio Hall - I for one was charmed. It annoys and almost sickens the Clinton's to see Senator Obama's effect on the masses. Oh the speeches, he has lovely speeches - he goes on and on blah blah blah - change, change, change (they both criticize)..............
My question is what should a candidate do? Are we not looking for a change or at least someone who wants to tell us that they want to offer us a change? This is a race -- rallies and speeches are a part of the process. Unfortunately, Barack Obama is effectively speaking on the things that Hillary would have if he had not entered the race. They did not expect such a phenomena over Senator Obama. Who knew??? After all, the Clintons had the love and strong support of the minorities at large - they felt confident.
Oh well, I say -- get over it. It's a race - you know that - you have done this before. Remeber, the race is not given to the swift but to the one who endures.....
