The race for the president of the United States of America has been nothing short of exciting, exhilarating and exaggeratedly over the top. Look at the turn out and the active participation of the young people who normally are uninterested in the political campaigns. Now we have them joining in the campaign - handing out informational brochures, discussing the issues that are important to them, starting up blogs, starting college support groups for the candidate of their choice - a sure sign of how monumental this race has become..........
While we have managed to capture the normal uninterested citizens attention, we have lost focus on the campaign - but instead focus on the trivial unimportant issues of the candidates lives.
I watched the Hannity & Colmes report which featured David Manning a pastor of a church in Harlem. There are at least 5 churches on each block in Harlem and they managed to find this man who claims to be a pastor. What was the purpose of his visit to the show? Who invited him? Why was he invited? It was one of the most bigoted ignorant use of words I have ever heard. As he continued on his uninterrupted lack of intelligence rant, I wondered who invited him on the show and why? I guess his appeal was to those bigoted folks who needed to hear someone speak up on their behalf. I could not wait for the segment to be over - what a waste of valuable time.
It only highlighted how ridiculous this whole campaign race is being covered. How valuable is this mans opinion? He should be careful coming out on national television - someone may expose him for his own discretion's. As a man who claims to be a Pastor - he should know that the bible addresses these kinds of actions Judge not and also 'He who is without sin let him cast the first stone' No one is without fault - not even David Manning. We know all to well how many men of the cloth have been exposed.
There is a race to be run - let's cut out the holy crap - none of the candidates are running to be God. They want to run the USA - not heaven.
